Annual Curriculum

Grades NURSERY – 2 (Foundational Stage) : Our Preschool programme herades NURSERY – 2 (Four social and emotional covery. Our skil settle wells children to develop their long voyage of discovery. Our skilled and experienced teachers nurture our little new learners’ curiosity and cultivate essential skills for inquiry and exploration that are foundational to learning to read, write, compute mathematically and think. Our goal is to give them a love of learning and a sense of wonder that will last a lifetime and motivate them to study during even the most testing times of their long school careers. We believe in the natural learning abilities of our children. We offer a stimulating environment with activities such as Show & Tell, Free Play, Field Trips etc… These experiences build creativity, imagination, and essential physical, social, and emotional skills.

Grades 3-5 (Preparatory School) : Our Primary Years curriculum is age appropriate.It is based on learning outcomes and progressive teaching, integrating the concepts,processes and ways of thinking drawn from the diverse disciplines of subject areas. The little students here, have the foundation laid by subject experts on which the edifice of the subject’s awareness rests. This is consolidated further by a ‘hands on’ experience, manifesting the concepts via ‘Do it Yourself’ activities.

Grades 6-8 (Middle School) The young students alongside their regular syllabi are exposed to ‘higher order learning’ via ‘Foundation Classes’. This stimulates them to put on their thinking caps and analyse in depth, the ‘whys’ and the ‘wherefores’. They are thus groomed from just receivers of knowledge, to evolve into thinking and questioning learners.

Grades 9-10 (Secondary School) These thinking and questioning young adults apart from ‘Foundation Classes’ are also put through the rigour of a ‘Residential Programme’. Here in are inculcated a set of skills and values which enable them to take up responsibility for ‘self’. Self disciplining activities and abstinence from TV and other electronic gadgets strengthen their resolve to excel. The entire residential programme is overseen by their subject experts who apart from clearing doubts prepare them for competitive exams. Here at SHLOKA, we leave no stone unturned to make comfortable these young learners who will go on to become the leaders of tomorrow.
